The board's justification

Cathrine is an excellent young epidemiologist who, already at a very early stage of her career, have made significant contributions to the epidemiology community, through her research on social economic indicators and health. Cathrine sets an exemplary standard, by sharing her expertise on the complex task of measuring socioeconomic position (SEP), a concept relevant across all branches of epidemiology. She has developed a comprehensive handbook, offering detailed guidance on incorporating socioeconomic factors into clinical epidemiological research and she is the co-founder of SEPLINE, a collaborative network that brings together researchers from institutions across Denmark and provides concrete recommendations on the use of socioeconomic indicators in epidemiological research and that works to streamline research practices in this critical area.
